The screen real estate lost by the drawer just isn't acceptable to me. I haven't really figured out if I can recreate a Bookmarks Bar akin to Safari, let alone a Tabs bar, as while I think the tab drawer is a novel idea (though I've seen it before), I prefer having the Safari/Opera method of tabs being spread across a bar with a loading icon next to it to indicate whether it's done or not. I'm rather ecstatic about how good it was about importing Safari bookmarks, so with that done, I'll force myself to use it as much as I can for the duration of the trial.and perhaps I'll give Opera more love to appease underthumb's plugs over yonder. The drawer isn't a deal killer, but I'll certainly have to play with things more to see if I can get more accustomed to it. Still, I'm sure I can probably tweak that keyboard shortcut somewhere in here. That and I'm rather accustomed to CMD+Up/CMD+Down allowing me to quickly jump to the top/bottom of a web page. The tabs bit, I'm still not sold on although you can close the drawer, that eliminates any visual cues as to what tab is where. You don't have to have the tab drawer open if you want to save space: CMD+UP/DOWN arrow will cycle through tabs or you cna hit the show drawer key combo to bring it out. Also, you can collapse the thumbnails to safari-sized bars that displaying loading circles. If you put a folder in there and CMD+click it, it will open all the sites in tabs (without erasing the currently open tabs, like Safari does). It's a nice alternative to Opera, which is usually my next in line when Safari doesn't do the job, and it's a lot better than FireFox obviously. I also find it a bit odd that Ars' forum reply window appears as a pop-up window without an option to tuck into a tab, as Safari does. Those two UI complaints aside, I rather like it, but I'm not sure if it's something I'd pay for at this point, but I need to play with more as I know there are certain Omniweb specific features I should check into first, let alone really drive it more.
